ROHM-LEADRIVE SiC Technology Joint Laboratory

Moving innovation forward: Together with our long-term partner Rohm Semiconductors we officially established the "ROHM-LEADRIVE SiC Technology Joint Laboratory". On the morning of June 9, 2020, the opening ceremony was held in Lingang New Pilot Free Trade Zone, Shanghai.

At the unveiling ceremony Dr. Jie Shen, General Manager of LEADRIVE, and Mr. Shinya Kubota, Managing Director of ROHM, delivered speeches respectively. Among other things, Dr. Jie Shen pointed out the importance of silicon carbide semiconductor modules as the general new trend of the industry in the next few years. Thanks to ROHM’s early support and great partnership, it is the perfect time to move forward promoting the development of silicon carbide technology in the global new energy vehicle industry.

With the opening of the joint laboratory, ROHM officially delivered the world’s latest generation of silicon carbide as well as other high-performance materials to the facility.
